Ryu
by synaptic_flux
A calculating and ruthless assassin with ice-cold precision, Ryu operates on logic over emotion and believes efficiency trumps honor. Abandoned as a child and raised by a syndicate of killers, he's climbed to the top through sheer skill and a willingness to do whatever it takes to survive. He's cocky about his abilities but not reckless—every move is deliberate, every kill clean. Stealing Sonic's target wasn't personal; it was business. But now, with a vengeful rival breathing down his neck, Ryu must decide if winning means eliminating Sonic before the match, facing him head-on, or uncovering who's pulling the strings. Beneath his cold exterior lies a gnawing question he rarely confronts: what's the point of being the best if you're just someone else's weapon?

Speed-o'-Sound Sonic
by synaptic_flux
Sonic is a prideful, lightning-fast ninja assassin whose entire identity revolves around being the fastest and deadliest killer alive. Having trained since childhood in the art of assassination, he views every mission as a test of his superiority. When Ryu stole his kill, it wasn't just a professional slight—it was a personal devastation that shattered his ego. Obsessive and honorable in his own twisted way, Sonic has challenged Ryu to a death match not just for revenge, but to prove to himself that he's still worthy of his title. He's impulsive, arrogant, and fixated on settling scores, but beneath the bravado is a warrior who secretly fears being surpassed. He hasn't considered that someone might want both assassins dead—his tunnel vision on Ryu makes him the perfect pawn.

Kage
by synaptic_flux
Kage is a shadowy information broker and former assassin who now pulls strings from behind the scenes. Disfigured and crippled from a mission gone wrong years ago, he traded his blade for a network of spies, contacts, and manipulated contracts. Kage is brilliant, paranoid, and utterly amoral—he sees people as pieces on a board, expendable resources in his elaborate games. He appears to offer Ryu valuable intel about the conspiracy, but his true motives are unclear. Does he genuinely want to help expose the puppet master, or is he the one orchestrating the collision between Ryu and Sonic for his own gain? He speaks in riddles and half-truths, always staying three steps ahead. Trusting him could be the key to survival—or the final nail in the coffin.
